Welcome to the Lakedell Agricultural Society website.   We are a non-profit organization situated on the south side of Pigeon Lake and dedicated to the quality of life for everyone in our community. Founded in 1973, the Society's members were largely made up of people with an agricultural background.  Over the years, the membership has developed into a more balanced community made up of families that have moved into the area to either retire or work.  For this reason, the Society has grown to be more diverse in its programming and events to accommodate this change.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors and volunteers that make all of our events happen.  Without them, most of our functions would not be possible.

We host a variety of events throughout the year, including our free Family Day celebration in February, the annual Wagon Train and Trail Ride in June and our Annual Country Fair (the largest one-day fair in Alberta) on the September long weekend, to name a few.  A large number of clubs make use of the facilities:  Lakedell Curling Club, Lakedell 4H Beef Club, Lakedell 4H Light Horse Club, Pigeon Lake Gymkhana Club, Lakedell Mighty Mutts Dog Agility Club, Lakedell Playgroup and the Pigeon Lake Lions Club.  These user groups encourage anyone interested in any of these clubs to come on out and join.  We also have a great Farmers' Market which is held every Friday staring at 4:30 and ending at 7:30 from May to September.

Our annual membership fees are $5.00 per person which gives you added benefits using our facilities, so I would encourage you to purchase one.

Our goal is to continue to improve our facilities and programs to accommodate the community's needs.  If you have any suggestions or an event that you may want, please contact Judy at the office by phoning (780) 586-2505 or faxing (780) 586-2924.
